How can I clean stains from my antique verdigris copper without damaging the patina?
I have an antique dry sink (1780) with a copper cladding at the top. I recently moved and when I lifted it out and looked at the bottom of the liner, there were several small blue-green dots. I do not think this through the copper to eat or something (it's solid, tailored to the piece 50 years ago), I will get rid of them, but I like the spots and the brown patina Penny I would not to polish all shiny with. I think the stains were caused by the fact that we are a small flood in the house a few years ago. We polished the dry Sink, including the wood under the liner and I'm wondering if the red oil furniture polish are contributed to the problem as there is no blue-green above, showing. hello use lemon juice and gently rub the spots then put Vaseline on the bit where they were the oxygen in the stop the air from attacking the spots
