Table setting?
what a place setting of China? What is the difference between a butter knife, butter spreader and does anyone know what should be on the table at the beginning of each meal?
Charger (larger plate), salad plate, napkin (preferably cloth / linen), steak knife (smooth, not serrated), butter knife, dinner fork, salad fork, spoon, place mats, wine glass, water glass. the order of placement of the devices is the order of the meal … first course is usually appetizer, salad, and it is continuous working days inward toward the plate. hope this helped! oh yes, should the butter spreader In addition to the butter dish in the middle of the table. if you do say "butter spreaders" online for any of the sites, JCPenney or Macy's or other Department store, they should be pictures of the butter spreader … the spreader is shorter with a smaller diameter than a standard butter knife. it is cut for the guests enough butter meant for their needs and their bread plate, which should also be on the table, right next to the plate (charger) before setting. again hope this helped!
