Looking for a recipe – Della Robbia cake – Better Homes & Garden Cookbook series – book called "cake"
Lost recipe – loved cake. It used a yellow cake mix, 3 layers, with a kind of custard-based filling. Garnish with fruit (pineapple, apricots, and?) With mint jelly is melted and drizzled over the top. Can not find anything on the I-net, but Della Robbia cake Angel food cake, strawberries and peaches, ice cream or rings.
BH & G cookbook 7 of the Della Robbia Cake Recipe: Prepare 1 package lemon chiffon cake mix according to package directions. Grease the bottom only three 9×1 1/2-inch round pans. Divide batter evenly among pans and Bake at 350 degrees, 30 to 35 minutes. Invert to cool. If desired, Tops cake layers with rum, with Brush 1 / 2 cup white rum, let layers are 20 minutes. Prepare a 3 or 3 1 / 2 – ounce package regular vanilla pudding mix package directions but use only 1 1 / 2 cups milk. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Cover mixture, cool in the refrigerator, stirring once or twice. Beat smooth, fold in 1 cup cream, whipped cream. Spread pudding between the layers. To melt glaze 1 / 2 cup apple jelly, stir in 1 tablespoon lemon juice, cool. Make an 8 1 / 2 – ounce can pineapple slices, drained and halved, drained 5 cans pear halves, 5 and drained canned apricot halves, and 11 maraschino cherries on top of the cake. Place the pineapple slices around the outer edge of the Pear in the middle and the cherry was the top. Spoon cooled glaze over fruit. Chill 5 to 6 hours. Hope this is what you are looking for.
